Description

The advanced part of the intensive winter mountain tourism training was created for two groups of people:

  • those who have completed basic winter mountain tourism training, either in BluEmu school in other schools pursuing a similar program
  • those who already have the knowledge and skills included in the basic level of training thanks to their own mountain activity. They are already independent winter tourists who want to develop in the direction of mountaineering

The advanced winter mountain tourism training is a proposal for people who have already done some winter hikes in the Tatra Mountains or other mountains on requiring the use of crampons and ice axes, but would like to prepare for more difficult routes – both in Tatras and Alpc, Caucasus or other massifs of the world. It is also a very good idea for those who already have done some mountaineering ascents, even on high altitude, but until now until now they did it with guides, and now they would like to become independent mountaineers.

Why with us

  1. The instructor trains four students only, not six as in other schools. Thanks to this, you don’t waste time waiting and freezing during the training.
  2. Our training formula allows you to master all skills faster, both in theory and in practice. The instructor has the opportunity to work individually with each student, and you will surely have time to practice every new skill sufficiently.
  3. Our training lasts three days – from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. These days are very intense, filled from dawn to night with outdoor exercises and shelter activities. No moment is wasted. That is why our course is an perfect offer for people who value their time and focus on maximum effective learning.
  4. We run our winter mountain tourism courses in Slovak Tatras. Our training center is located in one of the most beautiful and scenic places, Kezhmarska Valley, only about 20 km from Polish – Slovak border crossing in Jurgów. There are definitely less tourists there than on the Polish side. Our training are based in Chata Pri Zelenom Plese, the comfortable mountain refuge, famous for its delicious food. The refuge lies at an altitude of about 1600 m a.s.l. Winter conditions prevail there from December to May. So even if a winter in lowlands is poor, here is plenty of snow. Training places are very close to the refuge, so we don’t waste our time on ascents and descents. And of you feel cold, you can quickly and safely hide in the refuge.
  5. The car ride with instructors is possible from several cities of Southern Poland.

We will teach you

  • to walk safely in the technically demanding terrain using crampond and ice-axe;
  • to team up using the rope and use the simul-climbing protection;
  • to build anchors using ice-screws ans othet techniques of ice
  • to belay the partner using the anchor and your own budy;
  • to ascent on roper by using various ascending devices;
