The second goal of the BluEmu expedition operating in the Caucasus was the Tetnuldi summit. It is located in Svaneti, on the other side of Georgia than Kazbek. It is only 142 meters lower than the “magical” 5000 meters. But, in terms of technical difficulties, it is definitely superior than Kazbek.

The weather was still good, but it was obvious that it would not last long. So it was necessary to act quickly. On the last day of August, the team with the guides left Mestia – the capital of the Svaneti region. The next day, the daredevils set off from the Plateau located at approx. 3800 m above sea level to the summit. At 11:00 Georgian time, 50% of the team, and at the same time the full team, which, after having climbed Kazbek, took up the challenge of climbing to the second peak, stood at the top of Tetnuldi. Congratulations! The more that in the present conditions it is much more than a tourist challenge. The route is largely a climbing one now. Thanks to the skills of the expedition members, as well as cooperation with the best Georgian IVBV guides, the climbing was safe and was a complete success. Congratulations!
