“Better a sparrow in a hand than a dove on the roof,” says the Polish proverb. And during our June trip to the Italian Alps, we decided similarly: it is better to have summit of Gran Paradiso under your feet than to see the summit of Mont Blanc – our planned goal – from its bottom, as it is impossible to climb in the bad weather.
On Wednesday, June 23, just before 10:00 AM (and before the impending weather breakdown), we stood at the summit.
Congratulations to all expedition members on climbing the beautiful and not so easy (and certainly not boring, as confirmed by the members themselves) four-thousanders, which is Gran Paradiso.
And on the way back, we also had a beautiful trekking in the Swiss Alps.
