We have been organizing our festival for five years. Every year, at the end of November, we meet to talk and listen about mountain expeditions and adventures in a small circle. The first edition took place in 2016 under the name BluEmowisko. The next, in 2017, 2018 and 2019 already under the current name: Baza (Base Camp) – BluEmu festival.

We organize Baza festival at the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is an ideal location, with wide outdoor opportunities thanks to varied terrain, and also convenient in terms of access for participants arriving both from the south of Poland, and from its central and even northern regions. The first three editions took place in Brandysówka refuge in the Będkowska Valley near Krakow. Since 2019, we have been organizing our festival in a larger and more comfortable facility – Dworek Jurajski (Jurassic Manor) House in Domaniewice in the northern part of Kraków-Częstochowa Upland

“Baza” is different from traditional mass mountain festivals. It is rather a meeting in a small group to exchange experiences, impressions and knowledge. The main stars of this event are you, its participants and also speakers. Our guides and instructors also perform, telling about their expeditions, both wit BluEmu and their own, as well as sharing their knowledge during workshops and trainings. However, Baza festival is not only lectures, trainings and videos from expeditions.

Everyone who knows us may be sure that during our event some outdoor activities must occur. We always spend Saturday morning on the outdoor game. You don’t have to be an athlete, everyone can do it. The game it’s worth participating. It is an opportunity for both practical exercises and learning new skills, as well as for fun and fooling around 😉 And to win attractive prizes, too.

For many festival members the most anticipated element of the program is the party. It takes place around the campfire on Saturday evening. Drinks for this occasion are brought throughout the season from the various countries we visit. We have fun until the last participant goes to bed! 🙂
